This issue of ESS contains articles that make up the thematic dossier, the general section and an article written by colleagues who speak one of the native languages of Latin America and the Caribbean. The thematic dossier "Democratization and policies of inclusion of diversity in Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean”, addresses key issues of democratization and inclusion: inclusion of socioeconomic diversity, ethnic-racial diversity, gender, among others. It includes nine articles that develop different dimensions, focusing on policies, comparative research and experiences of democratization and inclusion at the higher education level in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Mexico. The general section presents papers received through the journal's permanent call for papers. After the evaluation process, five research papers from Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Peru are published, which provide knowledge of different processes and realities of Latin American higher education.
