Improvement of academic and pedagogical management. Innovation and teaching development
Abstract
The Program for the Improvement of Academic and Pedagogical Management in Peruvian Public Institutions is implemented by the UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean, IESALC, meets the general objective of strengthening the institutional capacities of Peruvian public universities to develop projects for PPM improvement plans allow the development of improved processes in academic-pedagogical management. Within this context, UNESCO IESALC develops a general methodological strategy in order to consolidate a training and technical assistance program aimed especially at strengthening the teams of the universities for the reformulation of their projects of improvement plans, in the academic-pedagogical management, this methodological strategy is deployed in four phases: analysis, design, implementation model and evaluation of the reformulated PPM of the universities. In addition to training in agile methodologies and change management. In the phases, specific strategies are developed to achieve the consolidation of competencies and improvement of the PPM in the field of support for academic pedagogical management, line of action: review, strengthening, and innovation of the processes of improvement and monitoring of teaching development, together with the implementation of change models that favor the systematic and iterative transformation of institutional processes. The results show that all the teams were certified and managed to acquire the desired skills. In conclusion, the strengthening of academic-pedagogical management is achieved, thanks to leaders trained in quality management, design and implementation of PPM, and change management
