BASELINE OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN A PUBLIC UNIVERSITY: AXIS OF RESPONSIBLE CAMPUS
Abstract
Social Responsibility is a holistic, transversal, systemic and complex approach that addresses reality to achieve sustainable development through social transformation. In the case of the academy, this approach integrates its substantive functions of comprehensive training, research, social extension and institutional management to achieve compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This article presents the results of a mixed study applied at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) in order to establish a baseline of University Social Responsibility from the evaluation of the responsible campus axis. Social responsibility is a tool for integrating university functions, so for proper implementation in institutional management and fostering positive interrelation both externally and internally, it is necessary to take valid and accepted methodologies in other universities to apply and integrate them into the realities of each Higher Education Institution.
