Distance classes. The case of higher education students during the COVID-19 pandemic
Abstract
This article shows part of the results of the research distance teaching-learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic. The case of higher education students. It is a qualitative research, descriptive-interpretative type, through the case study. The main results were that during the confinement period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the teaching-learning process was affected by factors such as: the family economy, the conversion of school space, by the transition from face-to-face education to online education. It also had an influence on the modification of the times and spaces of student recreation. It is concluded that the teaching-learning process influenced situations such as ignorance of the use of the various platforms, websites, and applications used in the educational field. The incorporation of the student to the labor field due to the deterioration of the family economy. Implications of online education on interpersonal relationships, especially between student-teacher, student-student, and family relationships.
