Conflict of Interest Disclosure Policy
In the Journal of Higher Education and Society, the authors of a manuscript, the editors of the receiving journal, and its reviewers (internal and external) must disclose any conflict of interest that could influence the manuscript or its review and approval. Invited, potential reviewers of a manuscript should excuse themselves if they have a conflict of interest with the authors or the topic. ESS guarantees that the most suitable reviewers will be chosen also in terms of thematic and academic compatibility, and in case of controversy, the Journal undertakes to settle these cases through its Editorial Team. It will be in charge of arbitrating these cases, and reasonable measures will be taken to identify and prevent the publication of articles in which there have been cases of research misconduct. In no case will the Journal encourage such misconduct, nor will it knowingly allow such misconduct to occur. In the event that the editor or editors of this Journal become aware of any allegations of research misconduct, the editor will address the allegations, retracting or correcting articles where necessary. Publishing corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies, if appropriate. In resolving disputes, we at ESS follow COPE guidelines where applicable.
