Sustainable Development Goals and higher education. A look from the research function
Abstract
Without the contribution of higher education, many of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals raised since 2015 will not be met, so this article provides examples of what can be done from training, research and extension. The actions carried out and proposed by the Higher Education Institutions of El Salvador are shown, collected through a quantitative research focused on the research function, but which shows that work is done that can positively impact the Sustainable Development Goals, from the three functions of higher education; However, they are not registered and categorized as such, therefore, the work of higher education institutions goes beyond the Sustainable Development Goals
