Abstract
LA CONFERENCIA MUNDIAL DE EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR
Entre los días 5 y 9 del mes de octubre de 1998 se llevó a cabo, en la sede de la UNESCO, en París, la Conferencia Mundial de Educación Superior. Este acontecimiento reviste trascendental importancia para la educación superior en el mundo y, en particular, para la de América Latina y el Caribe. Jamás, en el pasado, una conferencia de esta naturaleza, de tal magnitud y a escala mundial, se había concentrado en el tema de educación superior.
