Extension of the deadline for submitting articles for the next issue of ESS Magazine (Vol. 37, No. 2/2025)

The Higher Education and Society Journal (ESS) of the UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO IESALC) extends the deadline for its call for papers for Volume 37, Issue 2, which will include the thematic dossier "Generative artificial intelligence (GAI) in teaching and research: Good practices, challenges, and prospective" which will be organized by its guest editors: Carlos Iván Moreno Arellano (University of Guadalajara), Verónica Luna de la Luz (National Autonomous University of Mexico), Gabriela Navarro Espíritu (CETYS University), Rubén Juan Sebastián García Sánchez (University of Guadalajara), and Arianna Valentini (UNESCO IESALC).

This dossier calls for papers that deepen the understanding of the opportunities and challenges that the implementation of IAGen represents for both higher education institutions and their systems.

The closing date for submissions for this dossier is November 09, 2025.

All submissions must be made through the platform of the Higher Education and Society Journal (ESS), where the rules and submission formats are available. Each article received will be submitted to external double-anonymous peer review.
